Jason Cooper

PhD, Founder AC Yoga, BioDynamic Breath Work, Qi Gong

Jason discovered yoga in 2009 after rupturing his L4 and L5 vertebral discs. He soon realized that he was embarking on much more than a physical practice as he found himself gaining a healthy sense of calm, clarity, and awareness. Through breathing, holding and transitioning postures, and meditation, Jason knew he had found something very special.

In 2013, Jason studied yoga and meditation in Costa Rica with Marianne Wells, a student of BKS Iyengar. He soaked up a comprehensive education of the philosophical, psychological, spiritual, musical, anatomical, meditative, and therapeutic aspects of yoga. Jason also studied Qi Gong with John Mazetis for 4 years, and is also a student facilitator of BioDynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release under the founder, Giten Tonkov. After training with Dr. Dean Ornish in San Francisco, Jason has been working as a Stress Management Facilitator in The Ornish Cardiac Reversal Program. He opened AC Yoga as a studio in Atlantic City, NJ in 2015, and began facilitating a full moon drum circle which still continues to this day. Jason had previously earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Rutgers University in 2006, and is an avid basketball player, musician, holistic life coach, and loves to travel.

The joy of sharing these powerful tools is what drives Jason to continue helping others on their path. He has worked in yoga studios, gyms, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, one on one settings, and in the virtual world, and is looking forward to seeing you in class!
